The Hotel Atlantic in Hamburg is one of the most famous five-star hotels in Germany. The "White Castle on the Alster" was opened in 1909 as a noble grand hotel for the first-class passengers of the Hamburg-America Line. The hotel, located directly on the Outer Alster, quickly developed into a prestigious address for prominent guests of the Hanseatic city.
Damaged in an air raid in 1943, the Atlantic had to close temporarily during the Second World War. It reopened in 1950. To this day, the hotel is popular with celebrities. Prestigious guests from all over the world stay here.
Especially in recent years, the hotel has been modernised again and again. Today, the Atlantic has all the usual features of modern luxury hotels. With the "Atlantic Restaurant" and the "Atlantic Grill and Health", the hotel is also home to two prestigious restaurants.
